Student-Athletes Recognized on CCC Academic All-Conference Team

BOSTON, Mass. – Four hundred twenty Commonwealth Coast Conference student-athletes were honored on Wednesday morning as the league announced its fall academic all-conference team. The fall list includes participants from each of the CCC's member institutions who participated in men's and women's cross country, field hockey, men's and women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball.

In order to be recognized as a member of the Academic All-Conference Team an athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.3 (on a 4.0 scale) and must also have attained sophomore academic status.

Seven members of this year's squad were named the senior scholar-athlete of the year in their respective sports, including Heather MacDougall (Exeter, N.H.) and Alex Robbins (Mansfield, Mass.) from the Leopard women's soccer and cross country teams, respectively.

Of the 420 student-athletes honored, 90 of them earned All-Commonwealth Conference honors this fall, including seven of Wentworth's 26 honorees. Besides MacDougall and Robbins, senior Joe Kalil (Franklin, Mass.) of the men's soccer team, senior Emily Richard (Fremont, N.H.) of the women's soccer team, and sophomores Claire Quick (Mission Viejo, Calif.) and Leah Rogoz (Woodridge, Ill.) of the women's volleyball team were all-conference selections who were also named academic all-conference.

Wentworth's 26 Academic All-Commonwealth Coast Conference selections span the sports of men's cross country, men's soccer, women's soccer, women's tennis, and women's volleyball.
