Student-Athletes Recognized on CCC Academic All-Conference Team

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference announced the Fall Academic All-Conference Team and it includes 447 student-athletes from the conference’s 10 member institutions.

The academic all-conference honor rewards varsity student-athletes who attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) or higher. The CCC Fall Academic All-Conference Team encompasses student-athletes who participated in men’s and women’s cross country, field hockey, men’s and women’s soccer, women’s tennis, and women’s volleyball.

Of note are seven seniors who were recognized as the league’s senior scholar-athletes in their respective sports during All-Conference voting. Additionally, a number of this year’s honorees also excelled athletically. The team consists of 81 student-athletes who were also honored as All-CCC selections in their respective sports. Among the group are 36 First Team, 34 Second Team, and 11 Third Team All-CCC selections.

Wentworth placed 34 student-athletes – 12 more than last year – on the academic all-conference team. The 34 student-athletes represent all five of the Leopards’ fall sports. Women’s soccer had 12 of its student-athletes represented, men’s soccer had 11, women’s tennis had six, men’s cross country had three, and women’s volleyball had two.
