The following work study opportunities are available for students who have been awarded Federal Work-Study or WIT Work to be employed in the Department of Athletics. For more information about these positions, please contact Matt Phippard.

Please note: Some positions fill more quickly than others.  Even if a position is filled at the beginning of a semester, there is a chance a position could become available during the semester.

Assistant to the Equipment Manager - Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, collecting and distributing various equipment, especially in season teams, as well as the general student body.  Collecting and laundering of team uniforms, practice gear, and laundry loops, and redistributing.  Inventory control, maintaining the organization of the equipment room, any other duty as assigned by any administrator.

Athletic Training Assistant - Assist athletic training staff in practice and game setup. This includes but not limited to filling water coolers and bottles, field and gym set up. Assist athletic training staff will the daily organization and cleaning of the athletic training facility. This includes but not limited to preparing supplies, cleaning treatment tables and equipment, filing and other organizational needs. Check and sign student-athletes in using our computer based treatment log. Students may have the option (not mandatory) to assist the athletic training staff with men’s ice hockey home game set up.  Transportation would be provided for the student. The student must be CPR/AED/First Aid Certified to assist in this duty (will be provided).  Students will need to sign confidentiality agreement when working with student records. Facilities Event Crew - Assist the facilities manager in setting up and breaking down of the facility before and after athletic events.  Must be available to work flexible hours.

Facilities Monitor - Supervises equipment room, lobby& basketball court, and fitness center on a rotating basis. Check's patron's ID's and has them sign in. Responsible for checking out equipment and ensuring participants adhere to dress codes and gym policies. Must close equipment room and gym according to closing checklist and report to night supervisor before leaving.

Game & Events Worker - Assists with running home games for all sports. Responsibilities vary from score-keeping to retrieving balls and other equipment, supplying water, and other help needed during games.

Sports Information Assistant - Will work directly with Sports Information Director in serving as official game statisticians for home games, operating video equipment for webcasting or highlight videos, shooting action photos during events, and occasional office assistance with research and projects.  Must be available to work nights and weekends.  Training on software, and sport specific statistic rules is available. Team Manager - Assists coaches with statistics and game filming. Will help with recruitment mailings, fundraising and publicity. Filing and other responsibilities to be assigned by coaches.  Must be available to work nights and weekends.  Also be available to travel.  Knowledge of a particular sport is helpful, but not required.

Videographer - Assists with the videotaping of home games for all sports when necessary.  Also will help with the uploading of the film onto hudl.com.  (Training will be provided).
