Welcome to Wentworth Institute of Technology’s prospective student-athlete page! The information contained on this page as well as pages this page links should help prospective student-athletes through the recruiting process and answer many questions one may have.
 
Athletics Overview
Wentworth is a Division III member of the NCAA, competing in 19 varsity sports (baseball, men's basketball, women's basketball, men's cross country, women's cross country, men's golf, men's ice hockey, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, women's soccer, softball, men's tennis, men's indoor track, women's indoor track, men's outdoor track, women's outdoor track, men's volleyball, and women's volleyball).  The Leopards' primary conference is The Commonwealth Coast Conference, while men's volleyball competes in The Great Northeast Athletic Conference. Men's and women's indoor track compete as independents.

This policy is intended to provide guidance to Wentworth Institute of Technology (university) student-athletes regarding their ability to benefit from their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL).
 
Interested in Playing a Sport at Wentworth? 
If you are interested in becoming a student-athlete at Wentworth Institute of Technology, we would like to have you contact the coaches of the teams you are interested in. Each coach's email and phone number can be found on the staff directory.  To get the recruiting process started, you should fill out a recruting form for the sport(s) you are interested in.

If you are a prospective student-athlete who is making an overnight visit to Wentworth, you need to fill this form out prior to your arrival on campus.

Please note that if you set up a campus tour, you may not be able to meet with the head coach(es) of the sport(s) you are interested in.  Many of our head coaches are part-time employees at Wentworth and may not be able to get out of their full-time jobs in time.  Provided you give the head coach enough advance notice, he or she may be able to arrange their schedules or arrange for an assistant coach or team member to meet with you.
 
The Financial Aid pages will provide explanations for each type of financial aid, along with information on application procedures and deadlines. Financial aid at Wentworth may include academic scholarships or grants. Financial aid will be based upon each applicant's qualifications or needs.
