QUINCY, Mass. – A four-run fifth inning snapped a one-all tie and lifted the Wentworth baseball team to a 5-1 win over Eastern Nazarene in the completion of a suspended game from Monday afternoon.

With the win, Wentworth improves to 9-6 overall and 1-3 in league play, while Eastern Nazarene falls to 6-11 (1-3).

Wentworth took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second as Anthony Matera (Trumbull, Conn.) belted a solo home run to right field.

Eastern Nazarene answered with an equalizer score in the home half of the third inning. Rocco Martinelli (Panama City, Panama) raked a one-out double down the left field line and came around to score on a single to center by Michael Chiaradio Jr. (Teaneck, N.J.) with two away.

Ben Lewis (Middletown, R.I.) improved to 3-0 for the Black & Gold, allowing one run on six hits, walking one, and striking out six batters. Six different players recorded single hits for Wentworth, which snapped a five-game losing streak and won a northern game for the first time since last April 14.
