BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore guard Ronnie Turner (Lewiston, Maine) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week for games played from November 18-25.

Turner was a bright spot for the Leopards, who had an 0-2 week as he averaged 18.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 72.2 percent from the floor. Included in his 72.2 percent field goal percentage was him connecting on 6-of-7 shots (85.7 percent) from behind the three-point arc. He poured in a career-high 27 points on 10-for-12 shooting (including a perfect 5-for-5 from behind the arc) and had three assists and two steals in an 84-73 loss at Tufts this past Saturday. In Wentworth's other game of the week – a 69-51 loss at Clark – he had nine points, five points and two assists in his first collegiate start.

Through four games, Turner has made two starts and is averaging 13.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 56.3 percent from the floor and 64.3 percent from three-point land. Wentworth (1-3) has its home opener against Wheelock on Tuesday night.
