BOSTON, Mass. – For the second consecutive week and third time this season, Wentworth Institute of Technology freshman guard Jherson Colon (Boston, Mass.) has earned Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Basketball Rookie of the Week honors. Colon picks up this accolade for games played from January 13-19.

In a 1-1 week for the Leopards, Colon averaged 15.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. He scored 15 points and had a pair of assists in Wentworth's 60-56 win at Western New England and closed the week with a 16-point, six-rebound effort in a 75-63 loss at Nichols.

Through 15 games for the 8-7 (5-3) Leopards, Colon has started five of the 12 games in which he has appeared and leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.1 points per game to go along with 3.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per contest. Wentworth hosts Endicott Tuesday night.
