Men's Basketball Team Assists With Coaches vs Cancer 5K Classic

BOSTON, Mass. – On Saturday October 4, several members of the Wentworth men's basketball team participated in the Fourth Annual Boston College Coaches vs. Cancer 5K Classic. For the last four years the Boston College men's basketball team has partnered with the American Cancer Society's Coaches vs. Cancer program to host the event. Every year the race draws hundreds of runners from the local area and surrounding colleges and universities.

This annual race through the Boston College campus and around the Chestnut Hill Reservoir has raised over $27,000 since its inception for the American Cancer Society. The Leopards are proud to have been a part of this event in each of the last three years.

Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) that empowers basketball coaches, their teams, and local communities to make a difference in the fight against cancer.
