Ganley Named CCC Player of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – After a week that saw him average 32.5 points per game, sophomore forward Jason Ganley (Northbridge, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's basketball team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week. Ganley's honor comes for games played from January 18-24.

Ganley etched his name into the Leopard record book in Wentworth's 81-72 win over Gordon as he poured in 39 points, eclipsing the school's single-game record of 36. Twenty-three of his 39 points came in the second half. He shot 13-17 from the floor which included going 6-for-8 from behind the arc. Ganley also grabbed six rebounds in the win.

In an 82-72 loss at Nichols, Ganley scored 26 points on 9-for-15 shooting while grabbing six rebounds and dishing out a pair of assists.

Ganley shot 22-for-32 (.688) for the week which included going 10-for-15 (.667) from behind the three-point arc and averaged 6.0 points and 1.5 assists.

Having started all 17 of the Leopards' games, Ganley is the team's leading scorer averaging 18.7 points per game to go along with 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per tilt. He is shooting 50 percent from the floor which includes 38.7 percent from behind the arc.

Wentworth is 9-8 overall and 7-3 in CCC play. The Leopards host the University of New England on Wednesday night.
