Men's Basketball Earns Second Straight NABC Team Academic Excellence Award; Bergeon Named to Honors Court

BOSTON, Mass. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches announced its seventh annual NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards, naming Wentworth Institute of Technology to the list for the second consecutive season. These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better for the 2018-2019 season. The Leopards earned this award by posting a 3.08 GPA as a team.

In addition to the team excellence award, senior Zach Bergeon (Litchfield, N.H.) earned a spot on the NABC Honors Court. In order to be named to the honors court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior academically with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2018-2019 academic year.
