BEVERLY, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team concluded its 2012-13 season with a fourth-place finish at the 2013 Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship, held this past weekend at the Par 70, 6,237-yard Beverly Golf & Tennis Club.
Wentworth shot a two-day total of 685 (341-344), placing them fourth in the four-team event. For the second season in a row Endicott captured the team championship with a 626 and had the individual medalist, Austin Teal, who shot a 150. The Gulls, who led by 12 strokes after one round, bested Western New England (642) while Nichols (649) finished third.
Junior Eric Anderson (Abington, Mass.) shot a two-day total of 163 (83-80) to place ninth among the 20 players and led the Leopards. Freshman Pat Sullivan (Needham, Mass.) finished 11th with a 166 (82-84), sophomore Dante Christofori (Springfield, Mass.) finished 17th with a 175 (85-90), and sophomore Brandon Goold (Foxboro, Mass.) rounded out Wentworth's scorers with a 181 (91-90), which placed him 19th.
