PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Paced by a pair of top 10 finishes, the Wentworth golf team carded a 326 and finished third among eight teams at the 2013 Rhode Island College Fall Invitational. The event was held at the par 72, 6,522-yard Triggs Golf Course.
The Leopards finished 25 strokes behind Johnson & Wales, which had a team score of 301 and were four strokes ahead of Suffolk and Tufts, which each shot a 330. Eight teams participated in the event.
Junior Dante Christofori (Springfield, Mass.) finished tied for seventh as he shot a five-over 77. Senior Eric Anderson (Abington, Mass.) finished tied for ninth as he shot a 79. Junior Pat Sullivan (Needham, Mass.) shot an 82 to finish tied for 16th while junior Brandon Goold (Foxboro, Mass.) and sophomore Brad Tyler (San Diego, Calif.) each tied for 33rd after shooting an 89.
Wentworth will participate in the ECAC Division III New England Championship next weekend.
