Golf Places Fourth at Nighthawk Invitational

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Alec Focault (Putnam, Conn.) shot a seven-over 77  to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's golf team finish fourth at the 2015 Nighthawk Invitational, hosted by Newbury College at the William J. Devine Golf Course at Boston's Franklin Park.

The Leopards had a team score of 318, which placed them behind Tufts (287), Babson (297), and Nichols (303). A pair of Tufts golfers – Owen Elliott and Aaron Corn tied for medalist honors, shooting an even par 70.

Focault finished in a tie for 14th in the 56-player field and was two shots better than sophomore Enrique Arrieche (Caracas, Venezuela) who finished tied for 19th with a 79. Senior Brad Tyler (San Diego, Calif.) and freshman Zach Downing (Clinton, Mass.) each shot an 81 to tie for 26th place while sophomore Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) tied for 34th after shooting an 84 on the day.

Wentworth has its final tune up before the Commonwealth Coast Conference Qualifier on Wednesday, September 30, as the Leopards will be at the Westfield State Invitational.
