Golf Finishes 10th at ECAC Championships

SOUTHWICK, Mass. – Freshman Brian Bak (South Hadley, Mass.) shot a two-day total of 158 as the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team placed 10th at the 2015 ECAC Division III New England Championships. The 14-team event was held at The Ranch Golf Course, a par 72, 6,588-yard course.

The Leopards' team total was 679 as the Black & Gold sat in eighth place after Saturday's round with a 333, however carded a 346 on Sunday to drop two places.

Bak entered the day in third place as he opened the tournament with an even-par 72 and would finish tied for 23rd among the 69 players. Senior Brad Tyler (San Diego, Calif.) finished tied for 36th with a 167 (85-82), junior Zach Sousa (Middleboro, Mass.) placed 56th with a 156 (87-89), and senior Alec Foucault (Putnam, Conn.) was tied for 57th with freshman Greg Carroll (East Bridgewater, Mass.) who each shot a 178. Both players shot 89-89 for the tournament.

Wentworth will conclude the fall portion of its schedule at the 81st Annual NEIGA Championship, a two-day event in Brewster, Mass., on October 25-26.
