PORTSMOUTH, R.I. – Sophomore Dan Howard (Westwood, Mass.) and junior Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) each shot a four-over 75 to help pace the Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team to a third-place finish at the Roger Williams Invitational, played at Montaup Country Club.
The Leopards carded a season-best 308, which finished behind Babson (297) and Rhode Island College (299), both of whom are perennial NCAA Tournament qualifiers. Wentworth's 308 was also five strokes better than the Hawks, who shot a 313 on the day.
Senior Zach Sousa (Middleboro, Mass.) finished tied for 13th among the 43-player field after shooting a 78 while junior Enrique Arrieche (Caracas, Venezuela) and sophomore Zach Downing (Clinton, Mass.) both finished tied for 16th after each carded an 80.
