NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology golf team placed 14th out of 18 teams at the 2017 Hampton Inn Invitational, held at the Allendale Country Club. The two-day event was the opening event for the Leopards for their weather-shortened spring season.
Wentworth shot a 343 on Friday and a 32 on Saturday as junior Austin Enroth (Dartmouth, Mass.) paced the Black & Gold with a two-day total of 166 (80-86) to finish tied for 36th. Senior Zach Sousa (Middleboro, Mass.) finished tied for 55th with a 170 (87-83), while junior Paul Arsenault (Middleton, Mass.) and freshman Sean L'Italien (Pembroke, Mass.) each finished tied for 67th with a 176. Arsenault shot a 92-84 and L'Italien carded an 84-92.
Freshman Matthew Pleshaw (Franklin, Mass.) tied for 77th with a 181 (92-89).
Wentworth will compete at the Rick Korzec Invitational on Tuesday to wrap up its spring season.
