Peck Earns ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the Week Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – Junior goaltender Alex Peck (Kirkland, Que.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team has been named the ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the Week for games played from January 27-February 2.

Peck, who earns the honor for the second time this season, helped the Leopards to a 2-0 record as he posted a 1.00 goals against average, a .951 save percentage, and a shutout. In a 3-2 win at Suffolk, he made 21 saves and finished up the week with an 18-save performance in which he earned his second shutout of the season in a 2-0 win at Salve Regina.

Including last night's, 3-2 win over Johnson & Wales, Peck has a 7-4-2 record with a 2.39 goals against average, a .902 save percentage, and a pair of shutouts. For his career he has played in 41 games (39 starts) and is 23-13-4 with a 2.28 goals against average and a .909 save percentage with three career shutouts.

Winners of four in a row and having posted a 4-0-1 record in their last five contests, the Leopards are 8-10-2 overall and 6-3 in ECAC Northeast play. Wentworth hosts Western New England on Sunday afternoon.
