Domsodi Named ECAC Northeast Player of the Week

DANBURY, Conn. – Senior forward Mike Domsodi (Kirkland, Que.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team helped the Leopards to a 1-1 week and was named the ECAC Northeast Player of the Week.

Domsodi recorded two goals and an assist in the Leopards' two games as he had a goal and an assist in a 3-2 loss to Stonehill on Saturday and followed that up with a goal in a 2-1 win over Suffolk, which snapped a three-game losing and four-game winless (0-3-1) streak for Wentworth. His goal came at 11:58 of the third period and snapped a 1-all tie, which handed the Rams their first loss of the season.

In 11 games, Domsodi is the team's leading point scorer as he has three goals and four assists for seven points. Two of his three markers have held up as game-winning goals. Domsodi has played in 94 games in his career, scoring 31 goals and assisting on 45 others for 76 career points.

Sitting at 5-5-1, Wentworth is idle until the Leopards face off against Wesleyan at the Salem State Holiday Classic on January 2.
