Miller Named ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the Week

BOSTON, Mass. – After allowing just one goal in two games, senior netminder Joel Miller (Calgary, Alta.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology ice hockey team has been named the ECAC Northeast Goaltender of the Week. Miller earns this honor for games played from November 2-8.

In a 2-0 week for the Leopards, Miller stopped 65 of 66 shots for a remarkable .985 save percentage and a 0.50 goals against average. He made 35 saves in a 3-1 win over Curry and earned his second shutout of the season when he stopped all 30 shots he faced in a 3-0 win over Western New England.

Miller has played in all four of Wentworth's games and is 3-1 with a 1.22 goals against average and a .957 save percentage to go along with his two shutouts. The Leopards are 3-1 overall and 2-0 in ECAC Northeast play and host Johnson & Wales on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., at Boston University.
