Hockey Set To Team Up With St. Baldrick's Foundation

BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology hockey team is hosting its annual St. Baldrick's Foundation fundraiser on Saturday, April 7 at the Greatest Bar in Boston.

The Leopards' involvement with the St. Baldrick's Foundation dates back to 2013, and most recently had 11 players shave their heads for childhood cancer research during last year's event. The Leopards raised just over $6,000 and hope to exceed that amount this year by reaching their goal of $10,000.

The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-powered charity that funds more in childhood cancer research grants than any organization except the U.S. government. Getting involved in this year's fundraiser gives hope to infants, children, teens and young adults fighting childhood cancers. The Wentworth Athletics community hopes you will join the men's hockey team in the fight against childhood cancer by attending, volunteering, or sending in a donation.  The event runs from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., and directions to The Greatest Bar can be found here.
