BOSTON, Mass. – Senior defender Tyler Forthofer (Glastonbury, Conn.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team has been selected to play in the 72nd Annual USILA/LAXWorld North-South Senior Lacrosse Game. The game will be played on Friday, May 24, at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa.

Forthofer, who will play for the North team, becomes just the second member of the men's lacrosse program to be selected to play in this prestigious game, joining Mark Castela, who was selected in 1999.

A four-year mainstay on defense and co-captain of this year's Leopards squad that won a school-record 11 games and advanced to the finals of the ECAC Tournament, Forthofer picked up 34 ground balls and caused 14 turnovers while helping the defense post a 7.46 goals against average, the second-lowest in program history. Six of his 14 caused turnovers came in a 12-10 loss at the University of New England in the ECAC championship.

Starting 37 of the 45 games in which he played in over his career, Forthofer ranks fourth all-time with 32 caused turnovers and 13th in program history with 112 ground balls. He also scored a pair of goals and had three career assists.

Forthofer is one of four Commonwealth Coast Conference players to be selected for the game, joining Endicott midfielder and face-off specialist Sam Ozycz and Western New England defenders Brian Leistikow and Aaron Harris. Complete rosters for both teams can be found here.
