BEVERLY, Mass. – The 15th-ranked Endicott College men's lacrosse team jumped out to a 10-0 lead and never looked back as the Gulls remained undefeated in Commonwealth Coast Conference play with a 13-2 win over Wentworth.

With the win the Gulls improve to 8-2 overall and 4-0 in league play while the Leopards fall to 3-6 (0-3).

On offense, Endicott got a five-point game from junior midfielder Harrison Cotter (Lordship, Conn.) who scored four goals and assisted to up his season total to 30 points, tied with junior attacker Kyle Weber (West Hartford, Conn.) and freshman attacker Colin Bannon (Westport, Conn.). Weber, Bannon, and junior midfielder Joshua Tordik (Sayville, N.Y.) each had four points in the game, most of which came in the first half as the Gulls took an 8-0 lead heading into the break. Weber and Bannon each beat Wentworth goalie Jared Proulx (Nashua, N.H.) twice and recorded two assists in the win. Tordik scored a third quarter goal and dished three assists to enhance to team-high to 20 this season.

Proulx took the loss, however the league's third-ranked leader in saves made 15 saves in the cage as the senior was peppered with 51 shots faced. Proulx gave way to backup Jeff Bathalon (Maynard, Mass.) who made one save and allowed one goal in the game's final minutes.

The Wentworth offense was led by sophomore Alec Paradis (Pelham, N.H.) and junior Ryan Coakley (Flemington, N.J.) who teamed up one both of the Leopard goals on man-up opportunities. Facing a 10-0 deficit in the third quarter, Paradis scored his first following an Endicott slashing penalty with 8:32 remaining in the period. Paradis followed up with another man-up goal to start the scoring in the fourth at the 13:11 mark and took advantage of Gulls conduct foul.

Endicott's defense caused 16 turnovers in the game with junior Chris Cooney (Cranston, R.I.) lead the charge with three. Senior Christopher Summers (Manchester, United Kingdom), sophomore Ben Katzen (Blauvelt, N.Y.) and Cotter all chipped in with two caused turnovers apiece.

Freshman face-off specialist Tommy Hughes (Coram, N.Y.) took every draw and shined with a .824 win percentage (14-of-17). Hughes scooped 10 ground balls for his seventh game in double figures. Cotter and Cooney added five and four ground balls, respectively, as Endicott held a 55-26 advantage in that category. Wentworth was led by junior Conor McGonagle (Sagamore Beach, Mass.) and sophomore midfielder Tim Parlato (Needham, Mass.) who each had five ground balls in the loss.

Endicott goalies Cameron Bell (Falmouth, Maine) and Nick Triano (North Andover, Mass.) combined to make 10 saves, four of which came from Triano in the final 10 minutes, between the pipes to keep the Blue and Green on top of the CCC standings. Bell earned the win as he improved to 8-2 as the team's starter.

Endicott was successful on 25-of-29 clears while Wentworth converted 20-of-27 opportunities on the clear. Both teams were 2-of-8 with a man-advantage. Man-up goals were scored by Jeremy Morgan (Lake Panamoka, N.Y.) and Nick Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) for Endicott.

Wentworth is at Nichols on Saturday.
