Proulx to Play in NEILA Senior All-Star Game

BOSTON, Mass. - Wentworth Institute of Technology senior goalie Jared Proulx (Nashua, N.H.) has been selected to play in the 2014 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association East/West Senior All-Star Game. Proulx's selection to participate in this game marks the first time since Mark Castela's selection in 1999 that a member of the Leopards has participated in this event.

The game will be played on Friday, May 30, at Springfield College.

Proulx, who was named Honorable Mention All-CCC, started 15 of the team's 16 games this season, recording a 7-9 record with a 10.80 goals against average and a .563 save percentage while also picking up 60 ground balls. He had back-to-back, 21-save performances in losses to UMass Dartmouth and Western New England and turned aside 16 shots in a 12-10 win over the University of New England in the team's regular-season finale.

Also named to the NEILA Senior Academic All-Region Team, Proulx played in 58 career games (tying him for most in program history), made 46 starts and posted a 20-28 with a 9.62 goals against average and a .593 save percentage. He is second all-time on the program's win list, second in career saves (687), third in goals against average, fourth in both saves per game (11.81) and save percentage, and fifth with 169 career ground balls.

The Leopards concluded the 2014 campaign with a 7-9 record.
