BOSTON, Mass. – Senior Nick Parent (Windham, N.H.) scored six goals and added an assist while classmate Alec Paradis (Pelham, N.H.) chipped in with four goals and two assists to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team pick up a 16-4 non-conference victory over Becker Wednesday night on Sweeney Field.

With the win the Leopards improve to 2-8 on the season while the Hawks fall to 3-9.

After junior Blake Boutiette's (Burrillville, R.I.) goal 54 seconds into the contest put Becker on top, the Hawks' lead was short lived. Just under three minutes later, Parent scored to even the score and added the go-ahead goal with 8:46 remaining. He would score one more marker in the first while freshman Cameron Criniti (Berlin, Conn.) scored two in the first and freshman Spencer Allen (New Boston, N.H.) added one to give the hosts a 6-1 lead.

The second quarter saw Wentworth score five times – with three coming from Paradis – before Boutiette ended a scoreless drought of 25:38 with his second of the game.

Becker scored the lone goal in the third period off the stick of junior Daniel Johnson (Plymouth, Mass.) with 10:06 left and cut the lead to 11-4 when Boutiette scored with 12:21 left in the fourth. However, the Leopards would hold the Hawks off the board for the remainder of the game, scoring five times to complete the scoring.

In addition to Parent and Paradis, Criniti had three goals and two assists, Allen had a goal and an assist, and senior Tim Parlato (Needham, Mass.) and junior Sean Farmer (Billerica, Mass.) had two assists to the Leopards' multiple-point scorers. Freshman Peter Andersson (Madison, N.J.) was 13-of-17 at the X and scooped up six ground balls, while freshman Sean Brennan (Stony Point, N.Y.) and Parlato had eight and seven ground balls, respectively. Brennan and senior James Caldwell (New Milford, Conn.) each caused three turnovers.

Boutiette led Becker with three goals and senior Ryan Kearney (Katonah, N.Y.) had a game-high 10 ground balls.

Sophomore Scott Boucher (Salisbury, N.H.) made one save in the first half to pick up the win while classmate Adam Dufault (Lexington, Mass.) made four saves over the final 30:00. Freshman Jordan Mudd (Decatur, Ga.) made 12 savs in the loss.

Wentworth had a 40-18 shot advantage, a 59-32 ground ball advantage, was 19-for-20 on clearing attempts, and 4-of-5 in extra-man opportunities.

Both teams are in action on Saturday. Wentworth hosts Curry at 3:00 while Becker hosts Regis at 1:00.
