Eldred Selected to Play in NEILA East-West Senior All-Star Game

BOSTON, Mass. – Jacob Eldred (Goffstown, N.H.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's lacrosse team was one of 54 student-athletes to be selected for the annual New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's East-West Senior All-Star Game. The game will be played on Friday (May 31) at Johnson & Wales University, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

All players and coaches were nominated by head coaches within the NEILA. Players were then ranked and selected by a committee, awarding seniors from all three NCAA divisions who played their college career within the New England region. This all-star game is the only one of its kind, being a regional all-star game which includes players from Divisions I, II, and III.

Eldred, who is the eighth member of the Leopards to play in this game and the first since the 2016 season, recorded 37 points during his senior campaign, which came on 29 goals and eight assists. Both his goals scored and total points ranked him third among his teammates and he recorded season-highs of five points in wins over Nichols (March 30) and Gordon (April 24). In his five-point performance in the win against Nichols, two of his four goals came during man-up situations.

A 2018 Third Team Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Conference selection, Eldred played in 45 career games and concludes his career with 92 points, which came on 57 goals and 35 assists. On Wentworth's all-time list he ranks 14th in assists, 18th in points, and 20th in goals.
