BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men's rowing team closed out its fall campaign, racing at the 50th Head of the Charles Regatta.
Wentworth's lone entry in this year's regatta was in the Men's Collegiate Fours race. Senior coxswain Isabella Grassetti (Monson, Mass.), freshman Matthew West (Hingham, Mass.), senior Alex Schwarzkopf (Old Saybrook, Conn.), sophomore Ben Peterson (Glastonbury, Conn.), and junior Tucker Barrett (Leominster, Mass.) finished 16th out of 44 boats with a time of 17:19.94. The 16th-place finish assured the Leopards of an entry into the 2015 regatta.
Interim head coach Mike McKeon also competed in the regatta as he was a member of the Wentworth alumni boat which competed in the Men's Alumni Eights. His boat finished 51st out of 56 with a time of 17:54.19.
The Leopards will resume their schedule in the spring season, which is slated to begin in April.
