BOSTON, Mass. – The Wentworth's Institute of Technology rowing team competed in the prestigious Head of the Charles Regatta on Saturday in its second to last race of the fall season.
The Leopards entered a boat into the Men's Collegiate Fours race and sophomore coxswain Kirsten Salo (Gloucester, Mass.), junior Tim Baker (Ashburnham, Mass.), senior Ben Peterson (Glastonbury, Conn.), senior Tucker Barrett (Leominster, Mass.), and sophomore Matthew West (Hingham, Mass.) finished 31st out of 46 boats in a time of 18:32.013.
Wentworth's coaching staff also raced in the event as assistant coach Isabella Grassetti was the coxswain of a boat consisting of head coach Ryan Andrews and assistant coach Mike Drolette as well as alums Tim Walters and David Patch. The boat competed in the Men's Club Fours race and finished 28th out of 53 in a time of 18:42.875.
The Leopards conclude their fall season at the UMass Lowell Head Regatta on October 31.
