LOWELL, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology rowing team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule as it competed against the University of New Hampshire and the University of Massachusetts Lowell at the UMass Lowell Halloween Head Race.

Wentworth's Men's Varsity 4 boat, consisting of sophomore coxswain Kirsten Salo (Gloucester, Mass.), junior Tim Baker (Ashburnham, Mass.), senior Ben Peterson (Glastonbury, Conn.), senior Tucker Barrett (Leominster, Mass.), and sophomore Matthew West (Hingham, Mass.) finished in a time of 17:10, which bested both New Hampshire entrants in the event..

The Leopards entered two boats in the Men's Novice 8 race with the "A" boat taking home first-place honors. Sophomore Coxswain Emer Creighton (West Roxbury, Mass.), freshman Karlis Kaza (Wayland, Mass.), junior Michael Pierce (Chelsea, Mass.), sophomore Padraic O'Sullivan (Upton, Mass.), freshman Ethan Butterworth (Cohasset, Mass.), sophomore Logan O'Donnell (Killingworth, Conn.), sophomore Dylan McGuinness (Methuen, Mass.), sophomore Alec Boyle (Shirley, Mass.), and freshman Orion Hansen (Orlando, Fla.) crossed the line in a time of 17:12.

Wentworth's second entry placed fifth as freshman Leslie Vongphakdy (Riverside, R.I.), freshman Ben Walters (Brewster, Mass.), sophomore Brian Downey (Merrick, N.Y.), junior Benjamin Mattson (Marion, Mass.), sophomore Kyle Rowe (Eliot, Maine), freshman TJ Dion (Lincoln, R.I.), freshman Kyle Angelo (Wrentham, Mass.), sophomore Chase Manning (Franklin, Mass.), and freshman Kristian Hosker (Nahant, Mass.) had a time of 20:44.
