Varsity Four Wins at Knecht Cup

WEST WINDSOR, N.J. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology rowing team kicked off the spring portion of its schedule with a solid performance, capturing the Men's Varsity Four – Division II/III race at the 2019 Knecht Cup.

On Saturday, the Leopards placed first in their heat with a time of 6:56.74. This time was the fastest time among the 14 boats competing over the three heats and was nearly nine seconds ahead of Bowdoin's "B" entry, which placed second (7:05.52). By virtue of winning their heat, the Black & Gold advanced to Sunday's final where they posted a time of 6:57.37 which was three and a half seconds faster than Bowdoin's "A" entry.

Wentworth next races at the UMass Lowell Invitational on Saturday, April 20.
