Varsity Four Takes First at Halloween Regatta

NEWTON, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology rowing team wrapped up the fall portion of its schedule by competing in the Halloween Regatta along the Charles River in Newton, Mass.

Wentworth's entries fared well, with the Varsity Four boat taking first place out of three boats. The Leopards finished with a time of 15:03. This defeated Brandeis (17:15), the University of New Hampshire's "B" boat (15:06), and UNH's "A" boat (19:52).

The Novice Four boat took home second in its race, which consisted of three boats. The University of New Hampshire took first with a time of 14:50, Wentworth's second-place time was 15:25, and Brandeis was third at 16:26. The Novice Four boat (pictured) also won "Best DIY Costume" as Scooby Doo.
