Men's Soccer Falls to Eastern Nazarene

BOSTON, Mass. – Three goals in a span of 4:41 midway through the second half gave the Eastern Nazarene College a 3-0 lead as the Lions defeated Wentworth, 4-1, in a Commonwealth Coast Conference contest played on Sweeney Field.

Eastern Nazarene had a flurry of activity in the Wentworth end early on in the first half, taking three shots and being awarded three corner kicks. In the seventh minute senior Scott Hansen (Middletown Springs, Vt.) had a bid that Wentworth freshman Alec Boyle (Shirley, Mass.) made a save o, which would result in a corner kick.

Just over three and a half minutes later Eastern Nazarene upped its lead to 2-0 when freshman Andrew Nelson (Burtonsville, Md.) came streaking down the left side and sent a pass across the box where Hansen tucked a shot inside the right post.

The Lions made it a 3-0 game at 68:08 when Hansen was taken down in the box and senior Austin Boucher (Mansfield, Mass.) would convert the ensuing penalty kick.

Wentworth got on the board at 72:14 when junior Max Hilchuk (Wethersfield, Conn.) fed sophomore Alec Watkinson (Merrimack, N.H.), whose shot beat senior Jake Johnson (Mount Bethel, Pa.) to the right side.
