BOSTON, Mass. – After an outstanding sophomore season, sophomore midfielder Emmett Basaca (San Diego, Calif.) has been named to the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America's All-New England Team as a third team selection.

Basaca, who was named First Team All-Commonwealth Coast Conference, played every minute of every game for the Leopards this season. His on-field intelligence has helped break up many opponent attacks throughout the course of the season and he has also started many of the Leopards' counter attacks.

In addition to his solid defensive play, he recorded his first career point, assisting on a goal in a 4-2 win over Norwich in the ECAC quarterfinals.

He has started all 38 career games in which he has played.

Wentworth enjoyed one of its finest seasons in program history as the Leopards finished with a 15-5-1 record. The 15 wins ties a program record while the Black & Gold made an appearance in the ECAC Tournament for the first time since the 2009 season.
