BOSTON, Mass. – Junior midfielder Matt Cicalis (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team scored a goal and added an assist in a 3-1 victory over Gordon and has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Player of the Week. Cicalis earns this honor for games played from Oct. 10-16.

Cicalis scored a goal 7:41 into the contest which gave the Leopards a 1-0 lead in a battle between the two teams which sat atop the league standings. His assist came on a goal in the 57th minute which extended Wentworth's lead to 3-1.

Starting 14 of the 15 games in which Wentworth has played, Cicalis has five goals and two assists for 12 points, which matches his output from his sophomore season. Two of his five goals have been game-winning markers and he is second on the team in both goals and points.

Riding an unbeaten streak of 11 games (7-0-4), the Leopards sit at 9-2-4 overall and 5-0-1 in CCC play. Wentworth hosts Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday night.
