Watkinson Plays in NEISL Senior All-Star Game

BOSTON, Mass. – Senior midfielder Alec Watkinson (Merrimack, N.H.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team participated in the 2016 New England Intercollegiate Soccer Association Senior All-Star Game, which was held on Sunday, November 27, at Brandeis University.

Watkinson was one of 46 Division III players to compete in this event which featured seniors from 26 different institutions across New England.

In 13 games this season for the Leopards, Watkinson had five goals and added an assist for 11 points. Two of his goals were game-winning tallies, including in a 1-0, double overtime triumph over Gordon in the Commonwealth Coast Conference semifinals.

The four-year performer started 64 of the 67 career games in which he played in, scoring 14 goals and assisting on five others for 33 career points. Five of his 14 career goals were game-winning markers.

Wentworth finished the season with an overall record of 13-4-4 and were second in the CCC with a 7-1-1 record. The Leopards advanced to their first CCC title game since the 2009 season where they were defeated by Western New England, 4-1.
