MILTON, Mass. – Freshman Erik Treble (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Nathan Gosselin (Hudson, N.H.) each tallied goals while junior Philip Chomicki (Dorchester, Mass.) made nine saves as the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team won its Commonwealth Coast Conference opener with a 2-0 win over Curry.

The Leopards controlled play in the early stages and had three shot attempts, however, were only able to put one shot on target. In the 16th minute, sophomore Ryan Firmin (Gorham, Maine) served a corner kick, which resulted in a loose ball in the box. Treble collected the loose ball and put a shot home, past Colonel junior Paul DeMaio (North Andover, Mass.), to make it 1-0 at 15:44.

Curry began to collect scoring chances, however, Chomicki recorded three saves in the first half to keep the hosts off the board, including one just before time expired. The Colonels put the first two shots of the second half on target with Chomicki coming up with saves and nearly tied the game in the 80th minute.
