Treble, Edwin, Jr., Earn Commonwealth Coast Conference Weekly Honors

BOSTON, Mass. – After putting up five goals in a 5-2 win over Bridgewater State on Saturday, two members of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team have been honored by the Commonwealth Coast Conference. Sophomore Erik Treble (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) was named the conference's offensive player of the week while freshman Augustin Edwin, Jr. (New Bedford, Mass.) earned CCC Rookie of the Week honors.

Treble recorded a hat trick in the Leopards' win over the Bears, with all his goals coming in the second half. His first goal came less than a minute after Bridgewater State had tied the game and he tallied the game-winning goal less than a minute after the Bears had tied the game at 2-all. Treble rounded out the hat trick when he scored with 10:28 remaining. The three goals were Treble's first points of the season.

Edwin, Jr., got the Black & Gold on the board when he headed in a corner kick in the 37th minute for his first collegiate goal. That goal came seconds after he had entered the game as a substitute. In the 58th minute he assisted on Treble's game-winning marker and gave the hosts a 4-2 lead with a goal in the 61st minute.

Wentworth (2-2-1) hosts MIT on Wednesday night.
