BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Kaleb Gebremeskel's (Georgetown, Texas) goal with 8:16 remaining in regulation snapped a 1-all tie and lifted the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team to a 2-1, come-from-behind win over Roger Williams.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Both teams had chances in the first half play, however, Roger Williams nearly went ahead 1-0 in the 16th minute after senior Stathi Pangiotidis' (Norwalk, Conn.) shot hit the cross bar and the rebound came out to senior Colby Decker (Colchester, Conn.). Decker's second-chance attempt was saved by sophomore Robbie West (Hingham, Mass.).
- Gebremeskel nearly put the Leopards on the board in the 47th minute when his header off a free kick was saved by senior Edmund Geschickter (Brookline, Mass.).
- Roger Williams broke the stalemate in the 50th minute as Decker sent a ball in from the right side towards the middle of the box. Senior Michael Oliveira (Waterville, Maine) flicked a header past West.
- In the 63rd minute, junior John Dauphin (Yorba Linda, Calif.) took a shot from just outside the 18-yard box which narrowly missed the left post. However, in the 70th minute, Wentworth finally broke through and got the equalizer. Dauphin served a free kick towards the box where sophomore Eddie Smith (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) sent the ball past Geschickter for his second marker of the season.
- Sophomore Erik Treble (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) picked up a misclear and the top right side of the box and sent a ball to Gebremeskel, whose shot found the upper left corner of the net.
- In the 85th and 88th minutes, the Hawks put shots on net, however, West came up with two saves to preserve the lead.
- West made eight saves on the afternoon while Geschickter turned aside five shots.
- Roger Williams had a slight edge in shots, 14-13, and had an 8-5 advantage on corner kicks.
- The win was the third in a row for the Black & Gold, which is a season high.
SERIES NOTES:
- Today's game marked the 38th all-time meeting between the two teams with Roger Williams holding 19-15-4 series edge. Wentworth has won the last two and has a series unbeaten streak of five games (4-0-1). Four of the last five series meetings have been decided by one goal.
