BOSTON, Mass. – After recording a pair of goals in a 1-1 week, Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer senior Griffin Price (Allendale, N.J.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Price earns the honor for games played from October 14-20.
Price scored Wentworth's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Nichols on October 16 and netted the game's only marker with 2:27 left in regulation in a 1-0 win at Endicott on Saturday night. That win snapped a 10-game winless streak against Endicott and was the Leopards first road win against the Gulls since October 6, 2007.
Having started 11 of the 14 games in which he has played, Price leads the team in goals (five), points (12), and game-winning goals (two). Wentworth is 7-6-2 overall and 3-2 in CCC play. The Leopards host the University of New England on Wednesday night.
