BOSTON, Mass. – Three different players tallied goals and sophomore Robbie West (Weymouth, Mass.) made seven saves as the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team (8-6-2, 4-2 Commonwealth Coast Conference) picked up a 3-0 win over the University of New England (7-7-2, 1-5) in CCC play Wednesday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Wentworth nearly got on the board just 21 seconds into the game when junior Nathan Gosselin (Hudson, N.H.) put a shot just wide of the left post. Just over a minute later, sophomore Erik Treble (Massapequa Park, N.Y.) had a shot from in front which hit the post.
- The Leopards scored the first of their two first-half markers at the 5:33 mark when senior Griffin Price (Allendale, N.J.) slotted a pass towards sophomore Kaleb Gebremeskel (Georgetown, Texas), who beat senior keeper Camden Spear (Boothbay, Maine) with a shot to the near post.
- After Wentworth was unable to generate a scoring chance off a free kick, UNE had a clear attempt broken up by senior Drew DeCoste (Somerset, Mass.) just outside the box. DeCoste gained possession and beat Spear to the right side to make it 2-0.
- Shots were even at 8-all in the first half, however, the Nor'Easters had a 5-4 advantage in shots on goal as West made five first-half saves.
- At the 55:39 mark, Wentworth made it 3-0 after sophomore TJ Prouty (Glendora, Calif.) took a pass from classmate Alex Moore (Salem, Conn.) and lofted a shot into an open net.
- UNE's best chance came in the 70th minute, however, senior Callum Heaselwood's (London, England) shot from in front of the net sailed over the crossbar.
- West recorded his third shutout of the season while Spear made four saves.
- UNE had a slim edge in shots (14-13) and had a 5-2 edge in corner kicks.
SERIES NOTES:
- Tonight marked the 22nd meeting between the two schools with Wentworth holding a 15-3-4 series lead, including a 9-1-1 advantage on Sweeney Field.
