BEVERLY, Mass. – Three unanswered goals, including two in a span of 4:31 from senior Evan Couchot (Mason, Ohio), by the Endicott College men's soccer team erased a 1-0 deficit and lifted the second-seeded Gulls (12-5-2) to a 3-1 win over third-seeded Wentworth Institute of Technology (10-8-2) in a semifinal match of the 2019 Commonwealth Coast Conference Men's Soccer Tournament.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Endicott nearly took the lead just 38 seconds into the game when a Couchot shot was sent wide of the mark. The teams traded scoring chances with junior Ryan Firmin (Gorham, Maine) putting a shot on net in the 18th minute.
- Wentworth broke the ice at the 26:42 mark when junior Nathan Gosselin (Hudson, N.H.) put home his fifth goal of the season on a shot that found the inside of the right post.
- Couchot tied the game at 30:06 when he got a head on a pass in front from senior Jon Breed (Atkinson, N.H.). At 34:37, he scored what would be the game-winning goal when he put home the rebound of his initial shot which was saved by sophomore Robbie West (Weymouth, Mass.).
- The Gulls competed the scoring in the 63rd minute when junior Alex Vuksta (Hudson, Ohio) scored off assists from sophomore Arian Pilja (Arlington, Mass.) and freshman Gabriel Chaves (Secaucus, N.J.).
- Freshman Zach Regulbuto (Somers, Conn.) made three saves in the win. West made five saves in defeat.
- Endicott had a 24-15 shot advantage and a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
SERIES NOTES:
- Tonight marked the 26th meeting between the two schools with Endicott now holding a 15-9-2 series advantage, including a 2-0 mark in postseason play.
NEXT UP:
- With the win Endicott will travel to top-seeded Salve Regina – a 2-1 winner over fifth-seeded Nichols – on Saturday (November 9) for the CCC Championship. Wentworth, which was picked to finish eighth in the CCC Preseason Poll, advanced to at least the semifinals of the CCC Tournament for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
