Quintero Named CCC Defensive Player of the Week
Senior Louis Quintero made 14 saves and did not allow a goal in 180 minutes of action in a 1-0-1 week for the Leopards
BOSTON, Mass. – Senior goalkeeper Louis Quintero (Boston, Mass.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's soccer team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Defensive Player of the Week. Quintero earns the award for games played from September 5-11.
In a 1-0-1 week for the Leopards, Quintero posted a pair of clean sheets. He made a career-high six saves in Wentworth's 1-0 win at Salem State before besting his career mark for saves when he made eight in a 0-0 tie against Bridgewater State.
He is presently 1-1-2 in four starts with a 0.50 goals against average, 24 saves, a .923 save percentage, and three shutouts. He leads the CCC in saves, save percentage, and goals against average.
Wentworth is 1-1-2 and hosts Emerson on Tuesday night.
