Gordon Pulls Away From Men's Tennis

WENHAM, Mass. — After leading 2-1 at the conclusion of double play, the Gordon College men's tennis team took all six singles flights as the Fighting Scots rolled defeated Wentworth Institute of Technology 8-1 at the Brigham Courts on Tuesday.
 
Gordon improves to 11-4 and 3-1 in league action, while Wentworth dips to 2-5 and 1-3 respectively.

Mason Casady (Santa Barbara, Calif.) and Nate Lookwhy (Westborough, Mass.) got things started with an 8-2 win at the top flight over Matthew Smith (Pelham, N.H.) and Jeff Tocco (Plymouth, Mass.). Jonathan Frink (La Crescenta, Calif.) and Peter Godwin (Manchester, Conn.) quickly gave Gordon a 2-0 lead with an 8-3 result at the two spot.
 
Wentworth fought back with an 8-3 win at third by Thinh Dang (Boston, Mass.) and Alex Mularski (Auburn, Mass.).
 
The Fighting Scots cruised through the singles lineup with six straight-set victories. Dang gave Godwin a run for his money at fifth singles, but fell by scored of 6-3, 6-3.

Wentworth is at Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday.
