BOSTON, Mass – Senior Jake Reed (Arvada, Colo.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's volleyball team helped the Leopards start the season undefeated (4-0) and for his efforts he was named the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week. Reed earns the honor for matches played from January 16-22.

The Most Valuable Player of the SUNY Polytechnic Wildcat Invitational, Reed played in three of the ninth-ranked Leopards' four matches, averaging 3.44 kills and 1.5 digs per set while hitting .348.

He recorded double digits in kills in the three matches in which he played as he had 10 kills on 19 swings with just one error in a 3-0 win over SUNY Polytechnic, had 11 kills in a 3-1 win over eighth-ranked Vassar, and finished the tournament with 10 kills and a .368 attack percentage in a 3-0 win over seventh-ranked Nazareth.

Wentworth is at Endicott on Wednesday night.
