Men's Cross Country Concludes Inaugural Campaign at NCAA Regionals

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Freshmen Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.), Alex Robbins (Mansfield, Mass.), and Stephen Gencarelli (Westerly, R.I.) finished among the top 100 runners to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology men's cross country team wrap up its inaugural season with a 17th-place finish at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Regionals at Mount Greylock High School.

The Leopards accumulated 574 points as their 17th-place finish was among 54 schools in the event. Colby College took home first place with a team score of 63, followed by Amherst (69), MIT (70), Williams (85), and Middlebury (136) to round out the top five teams.

McSolla finished 86th with a time of 27:11, followed by an 88th-place finish by Robbins (27:16.1) and an 89th-place finish by Gencarelli, who was four tenths of second behind Robbins (27:16.5). Freshman Patrick Hopkins (Lansdale, Pa.) was 147th win a time of 28:03 while junior Kyle Schwartz (South Windsor, Conn.) was 164th (28:22) to round out Wentworth's top five runners.

Freshman Clay Harman (Broad Brook, Conn.) finished 281st with a time of 30:23 and sophomore David Ouellette (Wells, Maine) placed 304th after crossing the finish line with a time of 30:40.
