Cross Country Wraps up 2015 Campaign

WATERFORD, Conn. – Sophomore Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.) finished in 69th place to help the Wentworth Institute of Technology cross country team complete its 2015 campaign with a 19th-place finish at the NCAA Division III New England Cross Country Regionals.

The Leopards had a team score of 675, which was first among Commonwealth Coast Conference schools competing in the event. Williams (67 points) edged Amherst (68) to take home the regional crown with Tufts (80) rounding out the top three schools. Three hundred and eighty student-athletes from 55 schools competed in the event.

McSolla covered the 8K course in 26:04.8, which was a season best. Classmate Alex Robbins (Mansfield, Mass.) finished 83rd with a time of 26:15.7, sophomore Patrick Hopkins (Lansdale, Pa.) was 136th as he finished in a time of 27:15.5, senior Kyle Schwartz (South Windsor, Conn.) closed out his career with a 180th-place finish in a time of 27:50.4, and freshman Jonah Eisman (New York, N.Y.) rounded out Wentworth's scoring runners with a time of 28:12.2, good for 207th place.

Junior David Ouellette (Wells, Maine) finished 270th in a time of 29:09.3 and freshman Josh Gangemi (Norton, Mass.) was 282nd with a time of 29:20.0.
