McSolla Wins at Bowdoin Invitational; Cross Country Finishes Second as a Team

BRUNSWICK, Maine – Junior Dan McSolla (Bridgewater, Mass.) finished first overall to help pace the Wentworth Institute of Technology cross country team to a second-place finish at the Bowdoin College Invitational.

McSolla finished first among the 90-runner field with a time of 25:43.2. Wentworth amassed 60 points, which was second to the host Polar Bears who had 21 points and just ahead of Southern Maine (76).

Junior Alex Robbins (Mansfield, Mass.) finished sixth with a time of 26:35.1, junior Patrick Hopkins (Lansdale, Pa.) was ninth (26:55.6), senior David Ouellette (Wells, Maine) was 26th (21 points) with a time of 28:04.7, and sophomore Josh Gangemi (Norton, Mass.) finished 28th (23 points) after crossing the line with a time of 28:24.3.

Sophomore Jonah Eisman (New York, N.Y.) placed 36th among the field with a time of 29:02.0, sophomore Nathan Ouellette (Wells, Maine) was 42nd with a time of 29:25.6, and sophomore Chris Kaberle (Pelham, N.H.) finished 62nd when he crossed the line with a time of 31:05.9.

Wentworth is at the James Early Invitational in Westfield, Mass., on Oct. 8.
