BOSTON, Mass. – Sophomore Tom Caruso (Mahopac, N.Y.) of the Wentworth Institute of Technology cross country team has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week. Caruso earns this honor for his performance during the opening weekend of September 1-2.
Caruso helped the Leopards to the second-place finish at the Wellesley Invitational as he covered the five-kilometer in a time of 17:23. This time placed him 14th among the 38-runner field. Wentworth finished behind Brandeis and ahead of Regis.
Wentworth is at the University of New England Invitational this Saturday (September 9).
