CCC Front-Runner Endicott Soars Past Women's Basketball

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College women's basketball team shot over 50% from all spots of the floor, soaring to an 86-48 victory over Wentworth Institute of Technology on Saturday afternoon inside The Nest.

The Gulls raced to a 27-12 start after the first quarter and were never threatened throughout the game's remainder. Endicott held Wentworth to just nine points in the second quarter, six of which came from sophomore Ilyssa Creamer (Pittsfield, Mass.), while scoring 20 of their own to lead 47-21 at halftime. Endicott dominated the stat sheet in the victory, including a 42-19 advantage in rebounds, extending its win streak to five straight games.

Creamer scored a career-high eight points off the bench, while sophomore Stephanie Mini (Topsfield, Mass.) nearly missed double-digits with nine points in the effort. Classmate Molley Duclos (Greenfield, Mass.) added eight points as well.

Endicott used 47 points from the bench, led by a game-high of 14 from Mikaela Rogers (Haverhill, Mass.) who led four Gulls in double figures. Emily Pratt (Gardner, Mass.) and Shannon Gilbert (Easton, Conn.) each scored 11 in the victory, while Emma Tierney (Wolfeboro, N.H.) rounded out Endicott's top scoring with 10 points.

Wentworth (3-19, 1-12 CCC) returns home to Tansey Gym on Saturday, February 9th for a 1:00 p.m. game against Curry College. The Leopards will honor their two graduating seniors, Michelle McCloskey (Madison, Conn.) and Francesca Matira (Ledyard, Conn.) before tip-off.
