BEVERLY, Mass. - A trio of players from the Endicott College women's lacrosse team tallied three goals apiece as the Gulls notched a 19-1, Commonwealth Coast Conference victory over Wentworth Institute of Technology women's lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon at Hempstead Stadium.

With the win, Endicott improves to 5-8 overall and 4-1 in the CCC, while Wentworth falls to 2-11 (0-5)..

Endicott spared little time to get its offense going on a goal at 28:47 by freshman Jackie Neilsen (Agawam, Mass.) that put the Gulls up 1-0. After the goal by Neilsen, Endicott pitched together three more goals over the next minute that would give them the 4-0 edge with 27:49 still left in the first half. After ten minutes of no scoring from either side, a 5-0 run allowed the Gulls to take the 9-0 lead at the 11:19 mark that was capped off on a goal by sophomore Erin McCarthy (Old Lyme, Conn.). By the half's end, Endicott had a 15-0 cushion.

The Gulls tacked on three more goals to begin the second half and went up 18-0 with just under 10 minutes remaining. After senior Elizabeth Reda (Wilton, Conn.) tallied Endicott's game-sealing 19th goal of the contest, Wentworth made its way onto the board on a marker with 3:00 left by junior Amanda Dexter (Harvard, Mass.) to bring the score to 19-1.

McCarthy, junior Emily Whitney (Rye, N.H.) and Healy all netted three goals apiece for Endicott. Whitney also had three assists and five draw control wins. Senior Isabelle Sipperly (Greenwich, N.Y.) had three caused turnovers. Junior Maura Grady (Marblehead, Mass.) earned the win for Endicott and made two saves through 21:01. Sophomore Molly Lane (Durham, Maine) and freshman Bella Rino (Northborough, Mass.) split time with Grady and had a combined three saves.

Senior Hayley Patton (Cranston, R.I.) was tagged with the loss and had nine saves through 48:41 in the net. Freshman Liz Gunning (Fort Salonga, N.Y.) had one save through 11:19 in the net. Along with Dexter, freshman Leah Cummins (Plymouth, Mass.) scooped up three ground balls and won two draw controls, while freshman Brooke Paradis (Pelham, N.H.) had two ground balls and two caused turnovers.

Endicott held the 16-5 draw control advantage, along with shots (33-9) and ground balls (16-15).

Both Wentworth and Endicott are in action on Wednesday. Wentworth heads to Gordon at 4:00 p.m. and Endicott heads to Nichols at 7:00 p.m.
