NEWISA Honors Pastorelli, Miller With All-New England Selections

BOSTON, Mass. – The New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association released its 2015 Division III All-New England Teams and a pair of Wentworth Institute of Technology student-athletes both earned first team accolades. Junior Mary Pastorelli (Whitesboro, N.Y.) was the top vote getter among defenders (fullbacks) while classmate Morgan Miller (Schenectady, N.Y.) picked up accolades at the midfield (halfback) position.

The All-New England honors for the pair adds to the lengthy list of post-season honors for the talented duo. Pastorelli was named both the Commonwealth Coast Conference and ECAC Division III New England Defensive Player of the Year, both were named First Team All-CCC, both were named All-ECAC with Pastorelli earning first team honors and Miller earning second team honors, and both were recognized by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America as Second and Third Team All-New England selections, respectively.

Wentworth finished the 2015 season with a program record 17 wins (17-3-2), advanced to the semifinals of the CCC Tournament for the third straight season and made its first-ever appearance in the ECAC semifinals. In addition to breaking the single-season record for wins and shutouts (12), the Leopards posted program-best marks for goals against average, winning streak (11), and unbeaten streak (13).
